TSDS is your destination for community, connection, and a little bit of magic. We promote the joy of Swing dance and Swing music to the Triangle with fabulous events and enchanted evenings, reimagined.
For 38 years Russ has worked as a professional musician and has made a name for himself playing many different styles of music including Rock, Country, Gospel, Blues, R&B, Dixieland, Big Band Swing, Bebop, pit work for Broadway style shows and Symphonic music. Of all these Jazz remains his first true love.
Russ will be bringing all that experience and love of swinging jazz to Carrboro for a night of dancing that no one will want to miss. The Russ Wilson Quartet is always full of heavy hitting musicians that really know their stuff
Come to our dance party to learn about the music and dance of the swing era.

LESSONS
COMPLIMENTARY INTRO LESSON - No RSVP required. It comes with your event ticket and is open to all.
If you’ve never danced before, start with this complimentary introductory lesson from 7-8PM. You’ll learn some history of the dance, basic footwork and rhythm, and current Swing dance culture so you can dance all night and make new friends. This is a great choice if this is your first Swing dance or if you've only danced Lindy Hop a few times prior.
INTERMEDIATE LESSON: 6:45-7:45 $8 Come try our our new venue at Yoga Shala 204 W Main St unit c, Carrboro. There are going to be limited spots so sign up early.
COVID-19 SAFETY:
Mask policy is dependent on the CDC guidance regarding the transmission level of Orange county at the time the dance is held. That means our mask policy can change from when you purchase your ticket to when the event is held.
Orange County Hospital admission level as of 02/2/24: LOW - Masks are optional.
The CDC updates their data on Thursday evenings. We monitor this and update this page when things change. Please realize masks may become mandatory if the transmission level and/or guidance changes prior to the dance.
Anyone is always welcome to wear a mask at our events at any time regardless of mask policy.

Tickets only available online up to and throughout the event. Tickets will be $25 at the door (cards only no cash).
Includes a beginner lesson at 7:00PM.
