TSDS is your destination for community, connection, and a little bit of magic. We promote the joy of Swing dance and Swing music to the Triangle with fabulous events and enchanted evenings, reimagined.
ONYX CLUB BOYS is an acoustic string band (violin, guitar, upright bass, and drums) rooted in the sound of Django Reinhardt’s Jazz of 1930's Paris, and Stuff Smith's New York City Swing. However, being from 21st Century North Carolina, their diverse influences take the music beyond borders. It's a trip around the world, which will make you swoon, tap your feet, and realize how universally similar music really is.
Come to our dance party to learn about the music and dance of the swing era.
It is going to be a night of fantastic music that you aren't going to want to miss!
LESSONS
COMPLIMENTARY INTRO LESSON - No RSVP required. It comes with your event ticket and is open to all.
If you’ve never danced before, start with this complimentary introductory lesson from 7-8PM. You’ll learn some history of the dance, basic footwork and rhythm, and current Swing dance culture so you can dance all night and make new friends. This is a great choice if this is your first Swing dance or if you've only danced Lindy Hop a few times prior.
Beyond the Beginner Lesson: $5 Downstairs at the Century Center. There are going to be limited spots so sign up early.
Anyone is always welcome to wear a mask at our events at any time regardless of mask policy.
